Together, we raised over $183,000 for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This year’s Rock the Runway shattered every previous record, and it’s all thanks to you!
At the 10th-annual Rock the Runway, our community came together to raise over $183,000 to support programs that empower people with IDD to live with confidence, independence, and belonging across Spokane and eastern Washington.
From hearing about James McCormack’s experiences to the roar of the guests as each model took the runway, the night was a powerful reminder of what inclusion looks like when a community shows up wholeheartedly.
Your generosity ensures that The Arc of Spokane can continue providing opportunities, supporting families, and building a more welcoming Spokane for everyone.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) often navigate stereotypes and societal hurdles that can impact personal autonomy and community participation.
Rock the Runway is designed to challenge these perceptions by centering models with IDD in an environment that celebrates their unique perspectives.
Leading up to the event, each model chooses their own clothing and styles from The Arc Thrift Stores. This focus on self-expression helps shift the conversation away from outdated prejudice and toward a genuine appreciation for each individual. When our models walk the runway, they have the space to be themselves and share their independence with a supportive audience.
