The Arc of Spokane’s Advocacy & Family Support is excited to announce a one-evening version of Life After High School!

The Life After High School program is designed to help parents navigate the sometimes-complex support system for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and create a richer life for their child.

Topics Include:

  • Intro to person-centered planning

  • The importance of self-advocacy

  • Legislative issues relevant to people with IDD and their families

  • Supported decision making

  • Alternatives to guardianship

  • Understanding DDA and SSI

  • Parent/caregiver supports

  • Transition programs/Adulting 101

  • Supported employment

  • Healthy relationships

Separate activities for young adults and siblings will be provided - feel free to bring them along!
Registration for the event is required, as there is limited space. Dinner will be provided for all!
