1. Supported Living Community Living Instructors

At The Arc of Spokane, Community Living Instructors provide support and guidance in the areas of independent living and learning, community skills, personal health and safety to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Help people actualize their freedom to choose, work, socialize and pursue interests as well as enjoy a comfortable home, full access to their community, and staff who are well-qualified to meet their individual support needs.

We are searching for enthusiastic, interested people to support our adult clients in the Spokane area:

* Gonzaga neighborhood: Full- and Part-time, all shifts

* Lincoln Heights area: Full- and Part-time day, swing and overnight shifts

* Spokane Valley: Full- and Part-time shifts

Earn while you learn! You get paid on-the-job training and we assist you in obtaining your Registered Nursing Assistant license and other basic certifications for this field. Schedule flexibility is key.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

* Minimum age 18

* HS Diploma or GED

* Must successfully pass a FBI fingerprint background check

* Legible handwriting and good communication skills

* Reliable transportation (driver’s license and proof of insurance for most positions)

* Must be available to work the paid training and obtain certifications.

Compensation: $26,520 to $30,498 DOE annually for full-time employees + benefits including

medical, dental, paid leave, life insurance and retirement, premium paid holidays.

2. Spokane Valley Private Home LPN or RN

Spokane Valley Private Home LPN or RN

Have you "been there and done that" with the politics of big hospital work? Or the pressure of high resident-to-staff ratios in nursing care facilities? Be part of our group of dedicated caregivers instead! We offer a fun and low-key work environment in a beautiful and well-organized home serving four young adults in Spokane Valley.

Our nurses provide treatments, ongoing assessment, administer medications and tube feedings, coordinate care with physicians and pharmacy, and work cooperatively with the nursing assistant team.

Part-time, 16 hours per week, NOC shifts on Saturday and Sunday, $21.50 - $28.18 per hour. Not physically demanding, 1:4 client ratio, Check us out; you'll be glad you did!

3. Disabilities Professionals and Community Trainer-COTE

The Arc of Spokane is seeking a self-motivated and organized human services professional to join the Sexual Abuse Prevention team at The Arc of Spokane to provide the Sexual Abuse Awareness, Intervention and Response training to disability services professionals and concerned community members in the Spokane area.  The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or other human services

  • The ability to meet training requirements to provide sexual abuse/assault services

  • Knowledge of adult learning styles

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint

  • Ability to pass a required background check

  • A valid Driver’s License and insurance

The following attributes are also desirable:

  • Experience with providing training

  • Good facilitation skills

  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and their families and service providers

  • Knowledge of resources for families of children and adults with developmental disabilities in Spokane County.

This is a part-time position beginning at 30 hours per week which includes medical, dental, life insurance, retirement after eligibility is met. Includes paid leave and paid holidays.  $19-21.85 per hour, salary is negotiable.  Funding for this position is grant-based and may be subject to change upon grant renewal.

4. Community Inclusion Support Specialist

The Arc of Spokane is the region's go-to organization for advocacy and support of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Community Inclusion program (formerly Community Access) promotes independence and inclusion and is currently hiring a Support Specialist. Community Inclusion Support Specialists enjoy flexible work hours and working in a fun, creative, team environment where staff is empowered to help individuals succeed in accessing the community and building relationships.

Through identifying our participants' interests and the skill set that they can offer their community, you will be able to support them in getting involved with activities like:

•Volunteer work around the community
•Concerts and dances
•Crafts and interest based clubs (i.e. photography club) 
•Yoga, Zumba, etc.
•Billiards, bowling, bingo, etc.
•Church groups and events
•Community and neighborhood events and festivals
•and much, much, more.
