1.Receptionist

Successful non-profit agency serving persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, homelessness, and drug and alcohol addictions and their families seeks organized, motivated person with strong follow through that has initiative and attention to detail for our receptionist position. Must have excellent communication skills with emphasis on listening, tact, diplomacy and patience.

Create a welcoming first impression for our agency! Professionally answer and route calls using multi-line phone system; accurately take messages and greet customers with a smile. Data entry, process incoming and outgoing mail, light bookkeeping including petty cash and balancing bank accounts, newsletter preparation, managing electronic calendars and general office support. Requires dependability, strong interpersonal, writing & typing skills, proficiency with email, computer/MS Office, knowledge of copy/fax/printer/postage machines, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task efficiently.

Must pass required background check, have a valid Washington driver's license and proof of insurance. Full-time position, 40 hours per week, $13.00-14.95/hr., DOE, M-F, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. 2. Community Living Instructors

This direct support professional role provides support and guidance in areas of independent living and learning, community skills, social personal health and safety. We offer paid on-the-job training and will assist you in obtaining your Registered Nursing Assistant license and other basic certifications for this field. Schedule flexibility is key.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
• Minimum age 18
• HS Diploma or GED
• Must successfully pass FBI fingerprint background check
• Legible handwriting and good communication skills
• Reliable transportation (driver's license and proof of insurance)
• Must be available to work the paid training and obtain certifications.

Currently hiring for both female and male clientele, Full-time and part-time positions available.

Compensation:
$13.00/hour+ DOE and benefits including medical, dental, paid leave, life insurance and retirement once eligibility criteria is met.

3. Administrative Assistant

The Arc of Spokane, a successful non-profit agency serving persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, seeks an organized, motivated person with follow through that has initiative and an attention to detail for our expansion position of Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will support the Office Manager, Finance Department, and Representative Payee Department.

Data entry, coding invoices, sorting departmental mail, administrative client reports, managing supply inventory and orders, provide daily coverage for reception breaks and absences by professionally answering and routing calls using a multi-line phone system; impeccable customer service, maintains auditable files, delivers bank deposits, and provides general office support. 

Requires strong interpersonal skills, dependability, the ability to maintain confidentiality; proficiency with email, computer/MS Office; ability to multitask efficiently, knowledge of copy/fax/printer/postage machines, and demonstrated initiative, flexibility and problem solving skills.

Must pass a required back ground check, have a valid Washington Driver’s License and proof of insurance. Part-time position, 32.5 hours per week, $13.50-$15.52/hr., DOE, M-F, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Includes vacation, sick, and personal leave; medical, dental, life, and retirement benefits once eligible. 4. Spokane Valley Private Home LPN or RN

Have you "been there and done that" with the politics of big hospital work? Or the pressure of high resident-to-staff ratios in nursing care facilities? Be part of our group of dedicated caregivers instead! We offer a fun and low-key work environment in a beautiful and well-organized home serving four young adults in Spokane Valley.

Our nurses provide treatments, ongoing assessment, administer medications and tube feedings, coordinate care with physicians and pharmacy, and work cooperatively with the nursing assistant team.

5. Community Center Support Specialist

The Arc of Spokane is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Community Center Team! As a member of our team you will develop and implement educational, social, and recreational activities for individuals with developmental disabilities with a focus on community integration. To be successful you will need to:

•take direction but be self directed when necessary.

•be able to set and keep boundaries.

•be willing and able to communicate with diverse program participants including college students, families, and home providers.

•be comfortable driving a 15 passenger van to take community center members to on outings in the Greater Spokane area.

Full time position 40 hours per week, M-F 8:00 am-4:30 pm, $12.50-$14.38 per hour, DOE. 6. Protective Payee Services

The Arc of Spokane is looking for an enthusiastic individual with some accounting background to join our Representative Payee Department. Our protective payee program is motivated in finding someone who has initiative, is organized and knows the value of paying attention to detail.

As a candidate, you must be proficient with data entry and use of computerized checkbook software/MS Office. A qualified candidate will have excellent communication skills with emphasis on listening, tact, diplomacy and patience.

Successful candidates will encourage clients to gain long-term financial independence and promote a good working relationship with landlords, creditors, SS, DDA, DSHS and Frontier Behavioral Health. As a member of the RP Department, you will be responsible for maintaining up to 200+ client bank accounts, computer registers and client files in auditable condition following Social Security guidelines for representative payees for claimants with disabilities. Your experience with people and supporting marginalized populations is desired.

Requirements: Must be at least 18 with a HS Diploma/GED, valid driver's license and current insurance with the ability to pass required background check. 2+years in personal finance/accounting is preferred but not required.

The Representative Payee Counselor position is Full Time M-F 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, $14-16.10/hr. DOE, includes comprehensive benefits package.
