COMMUNITY LIVING INSTRUCTORS

Community Living Instructors make significant contributions helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to gain skills for independent living and participate in the Spokane community. So, how about starting something new and becoming part of something great?

We are searching for motivated, enthusiastic, and dependable people who want to work as part of a goal- and success-oriented team. We offer paid on the job training and will assist you in obtaining all required certifications to work in this field. Your schedule flexibility is key.

We are currently looking to fill part-time and full-time direct support positions, both Male and Female.

Minimum Requirements:
-At least 18 years of age
-Completed HS Diploma or GED
-Must pass an FBI fingerprint background check
-Legible handwriting & good communication skills
-Basic computer proficiency
-Reliable transportation (driver's license & proof of insurance) for most positions
-Work schedules and hours available vary by each home. (Days, Swing, Night Shift)
-Must be able to attend paid training and obtain required certifications

Wage is $12.75/hr, Medical, Dental, Life insurance benefits at 30+ hours per week, vacation, sick, personal leave time + premium paid holidays. 2. Representative Payee counselor

The Arc of Spokane is looking for an enthusiastic, caring individual with some accounting background to join our Representative Payee Department. Our representative payee program is motivated in finding someone who has initiative, is organized and knows the value of paying attention to detail.

As a candidate, you must be proficient with data entry and use of computerized checkbook software/MS Office. A qualified candidate will have excellent communication skills with emphasis on listening, tact, diplomacy and patience.

Successful candidates will encourage clients to gain long-term financial independence and promote a good working relationship with landlords, creditors, SS, DDA, DSHS and Frontier Behavioral Health. As a member of the RP Department, you will be responsible for maintaining up to 200+ client bank accounts, computer registers and client files in auditable condition following Social Security guidelines for representative payees for adults with developmental disabilities.

Requirements: Must be at least 18 with a HS Diploma/GED, valid driver's license and current insurance with the ability to pass the required background check. 2+years in personal finance/accounting is preferred but not required.

The Representative Payee Counselor position is Full Time M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm, $13-14.95/hr. DOE, includes comprehensive benefits package.
