Financial Management
People with developmental disabilities often struggle to meet the complex demands of money management. They are also uniquely vulnerable to financial exploitation. The Arc's financial management program helps people avoid financial crisis through Protective Payee services, personal coaching and money management classes. Last year we helped more than 600 people in Spokane pay the bills, stay on budget and avoid predatory lending.

Financial Management Counselors

Our financial management counselors encourage participants to manage their income as much as possible, and many people are able to build savings accounts and resolve debt for the first time in their lives. This program helps people with developmental disabilities set financial goals and meet them, giving them greater financial stability and fostering independence.

Additional Help
Often, our financial counselors discover other circumstances in our constituents' lives that need additional attention, such as higher than necessary housing costs or unmet medical needs, allowing us to help in other ways too.
