The Arc of Spokane's Family Support 360 Center helps unserved and underserved families supporting a person with a developmental disability identify and access resources in the community that can improve their quality of life.  Review the frequently asked questions below to learn how our Family Support 360 Center can help your family. How can Family Support 360 help my family?
This program can help your family:

  • Develop a comprehensive plan to prioritize your family's needs, set goals and work to achieve them
  • Identify local, state and federal resources that can help
  • Learn how to access these resources
  • Utilize information about community resources, public services and disability information
  • Meet other families in similar circumstances, share information and support each other
  • Attend trainings and workshops on topics important to you and other families. 


Can my family participate in Family Support 360?
Does your family:

  • Care for a child or adult with a devleopmental disability AND
  • Live in Spokane, Stevens, Pend Oreille, Ferry, Lincoln, or Whitman County?
  • Live in a rural, Hispanic, Native or Russian community? 

If so, contact us! Preference will be given to families in rural, Hispanic, Native and Russian communities.   

How can my family receive services from Family Support 360?
It's easy! Just contact the program coordinator, Roz Bethmann at The Arc of Spokane (509) 328-6326 or by e-mail rbethmann@arc-spokane.org. Services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register soon. We have services and programs for other families too.


Why will my family be working with a Family Support 360 navigator?
Our navigators help your family identify specific needs and develop a Family Individualized Plan to meet them. Your navigator will help you set goals and work to acheive them by accessing resources in the community that can help. In many cases, our navigators will speak Russian or Spanish. They can help your family find information and connect with resources and other families in the community.


What does the Family Support 360 Advisory Committee do and who's on it?
An advisory committee guides the program by providing advice, insight and feedback about the program and how it works. The committee also counsels program administrators about opportunities an challenges facing people with developmental disabilities. The committee is comprised of:

  • People with developmental disabilities
  • Family members of people with developmental disabilities
  • Leaders from the communities it serves
  • Professionals in the fields of education, health, advocacy, social services and others
  • Representatives from faith-based organizations, non-profits, businesses and government

Is there another Family Support 360 program in Washington state?
Yes!
