THE ARC COMMUNITY CENTER

Good friends and new experiences are important to everyone's well-being, but people with developmental disabilities often have limited opportunities to socialize. At The Arc Community Center, adults with developmental disabilities learn social skills through interaction with friends, recreational and educational activities, and new experiences in the community.

Daily outings include visits to museums, libraries, parks, bowling and civic events. We also encourage service projects, such as stuffing envelopes for local charities or cleaning the yard of a senior citizen.

Activities at the center include classes, crafts, gym sports, games, discussion groups, monthly dances and an annual talent show. We also hold regular classes that teach basic behavior mangement and communication skills.  Click here to see photos of our most recent activities.
